    Walter Hamada launched 18Hz Productions in 2023 with an exclusive, multiyear production deal with Paramount to spearhead the studio's mainstream horror movies. Hamada's first two movies under the deal were Primate, directed by Johannes Roberts and starring Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander and Academy Award winner Troy Kotsur, and Passenger from Andre Ovredal starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo, Lou Lloubell and Jacob Scipio. Hamada previously served as President, DC-Based Film Production, at Warner Bros. Pictures, where he oversaw the studio’s slate of films based on Super-Heroes and Super-Villains including two of DC’s biggest blockbusters to date: Aquaman, and the multi-Academy Award-winning Joker, which both surpassed $1B at the global box office. Hamada also shepherded the DC titles The Batman, The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman 1984, Shazam!, and The Flash. Prior to that, he served as Executive Vice President, Production at New Line Cinema. His decade-long tenure included overseeing the record-breaking horror franchise The Conjuring Universe - including The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation and The Nun, setting the franchise on course to become the highest grossing horror franchise of all-time. He also Executive Produced the adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic horror novel IT, which became a global phenomenon and the highest grossing horror film in history with more than $704 million in global box office receipts. His other credits include Lights Out, The Curse of La Llorona, Friday the 13th, The Final Destination and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). Before New Line, Hamada was a partner and owner of the management and production firm H2F Entertainment. Hamada began his career at TriStar/Columbia Pictures. Hamada received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.

    Vice President

    Nick Romano is the Vice President of 18Hz Productions. Romano joined the company as a Creative Executive during the company’s inception in 2023. He is an Executive Producer on upcoming projects including Rodrigue Huart’s Suffer Little Children, Caye Casas’ Familiar, and Andrew Duplessie’s The Littles. Prior to 18Hz, he worked in development at New Line Cinema and before that, got his start on a motion picture lit desk at ICM Partners. A graduate of Brooklyn College, the Queens-born exec has also served on horror film juries for SXSW, Fantasia, and Palm Springs Shorts Fest.

    Ana Tenewitz

    Creative Executive

    Ana Tenewitz is a Creative Executive at 18Hz Productions. She previously worked as a Development Coordinator to Features EVP, Allan Mandelbaum at Imagine Entertainment. She began her career at Skybound Entertainment, before holding positions at Untitled Entertainment, Carol Mendelsohn Production, and PRETTYBIRD. She’s produced award-winning short films that have been selected at festivals across the country. Originally from the Hudson Valley, NY, Ana graduated from Emerson College with a B.A. in Media Arts Production.
